Dr. René Scalet dos Santos Neto is a renowned nephrologist and educator in the field of Medicine. He graduated in Medicine from the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná in 2007 and specialized in Nephrology at the Santa Casa de Curitiba/Rim Institute of Paraná in 2011, earning the specialist title from the Brazilian Society of Nephrology/Brazilian Medical Association in 2020. He furthered his education with a Master's in Teaching in Health Sciences from the Pequeno Príncipe Colleges in 2022. Dr. Santos-Neto has had a distinguished career, serving as the director of professional defense at the Paranaense Society of Nephrology, a member of the Advisory Council of INESCO, and as a general clinician in Curitiba. Currently, he is a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Faculdades Pequeno Príncipe, a nephrologist, and a mentor at the International Society of Nephrology, in addition to holding leadership positions in the Paranaense Society of Nephrology and INESCO. His expertise spans areas such as chronic kidney disease, home care, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and active teaching-learning methodologies, significantly contributing to the advancement of Nephrology and Medical Education.
