Session description
WKD 2024 theme is Kidney Health for All - Advancing equitable access to care and optimal medication practice. This session will provide an overview of the current global situation of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the challenges associated with access to medications to better manage the progression of the disease. It will suggest solutions to move forward and remove barriers, to improve prevention, treatment, and early diagnosis of CKD while ensuring equitable access to kidney care worldwide.
Learning objectives
Participants will learn how healthcare professionals can improve patient education to ensure proper access to and use of medications. Speakers will highlight the challenges and advocate for a comprehensive approach to address access to care across all levels of healthcare, from patients to global institutions.
