MoumitaBarua Canada

Dr. Moumita Barua is a Clinician Scientist and Assistant Professor in the Division of Nephrology at Toronto General Hospital and the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto, respectively. The starting point of her research is to perform DNA sequencing in adults with glomerular and chronic kidney diseases. These genetic discoveries inform clinically relevant models to better define mechanisms. Ultimately Dr. Barua's goal is to translate research findings to clinical care for the improvement of diagnostics and outcomes in kidney disease.
