ValeriaAlberton
Dr. Valeria Alberton completed her undergraduate studies at the National University of La Plata and pursued her pathology residency at the Fernandez Hospital. She further specialized in nephropathology under the guidance of Dr. Graciela DeRosa at the Clinicas Hospital of Buenos Aires and undertook an observership in The Division of Renal and Transplant Pathology at the Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, with Dr. Tibor Nadasdy. Currently, Dr. Alberton serves as a staff doctor at the Fernandez Hospital in Buenos Aires and at the "El Cruce" High Complexity Hospital, where she has been responsible for overseeing all renal biopsies for the past 15 years. She has actively participated as both a speaker and course director in numerous educational courses and is deeply involved in renal pathology teaching activities in Argentina. Currently holds the position of Director of the Nephropathology Area of the Pathology Course at the University of Buenos Aires, and she is also a professor of Pathology at UBA. Additionally, she serves as the current secretary and former director of the Nephropathology Club of the Argentine Society of Pathology. She is a member of the Argentine Society of Pathology (SAP), the International Academy of Pathology, Argentine Division (AIP), the Argentinian Transplant Society (SAT), and the Argentine Society of Nephrology (SAN). Her field of expertise and research interests primarily revolve around Lupus Nephritis.
