Dr. Olabisi is a physician scientist whose research focuses on APOL1-mediated kidney disease (AMKD). He leverages cell-based models, human stem cell-derived models, and transgenic APOL1 animal model to elucidate the mechanism underlying AMKD. He also conducts NIH-funded community-engaged translational and clinical research (learn more here, www.kidneycareandjustice.com) with the goal of developing innovative cure and prevention of AMKD.
