Prof. Ismail is the Past Chair of The Renal Pathology Working Group of The International Society of Nephrology (ISN-RPWG), the Chair of the African Society of Nephrology (AFRAN) Renal pathology Educational Committee, ISN Africa Regional Board Member, ISN Ambassador and the Chair of the Proagram Committee in the Renal Pathology Society She is the head of the Pathology department, Beni-Suef University, Egypt and the CEO of Pathlab; a private renal pathology service in Cairo, Egypt. She had participated both as a speaker and course director in numerous international and regional meetings, is involved in renal pathology teaching activities in Africa and the Middle East and was awarded by The British Global Kidney Academy (GKA) for improving renal pathology services within the region.
