Dr. Krzysztof Kiryluk is a physician-scientist in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Medicine at Columbia University in New York City. He received his medical degree at the Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Nephrology fellowship at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, and additional training in biostatistics and statistical genetics at the Mailman School of Public Health. He holds a Professor in Medicine title with tenure and serves as an Interim Chief of the Division of Nephrology at Columbia University. Dr. Kiryluk's research aims to define genetic factors contributing to the risk of kidney disease and related traits in humans. He leads large collaborative genetic studies of glomerular disorders, chronic kidney disease, and kidney transplant-related outcomes, and participates in several precision medicine consortia, including the Electronic Medical Records and Genomics (eMERGE-IV) and the Multiomics for Health and Disease (MOHD) networks.
