Dr Anila Abraham Kurien is the founder director of Renopath, Center for Renal and Urological Pathology in Chennai, India. A graduate of the prestigious Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, Dr Kurien received her basic training in pathology at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai. She developed a passion for renal pathology while working in Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad under the guidance of Dr Mohan Rajapurkar. This was followed by advanced training in renal pathology under the mentorship of Dr Stephen Bonsib at the Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA and Dr Patrick Walker at Arkana Laboratories, Little Rock, AR. With nearly two decades of experience in renal pathology, she has a passion for teaching renal pathology and regularly involves in educational opportunities. Dr Kurien has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.
