Dr. Harun Ur Rashid, has been working as Professor and Chief Consultant in Nephrology at Kidney Foundation Hospital and research Institute since 2009. He organized the 1st live related kidney transplantation in October,1981 and started haemodialysis in 1986 and CAPD in 1987. Besides conducting many research activities and guiding many others, he has published 166 articles in recognized journals at home and abroad. He has established Kidney Foundation of Bangladesh(KFB) in 2003 with meager capital investment of US$1000.0.It is now the largest dialysis and transplant center in the country and graduated from ISN-SRC program and earned recognition as an ISN regional training center and KFB received Sherier award in 2024 He awarded ISN pioneer award in 2017 and Vitallink award from Asian Society of transplantation in 2023. At present, he is a member ISN- CME Committee and member of ISN - South Asian regional board, Core body member of ISPD-Asia-pacific chapter and Council member of Asian Society of Transplant.
