Dr Ng is a Senior Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist at National University Hospital and an Associate Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She practises in all areas of pediatric nephrology and has a special interest in genetic kidney disease. She pioneered the research programme on genetics of kidney diseases in Singapore, started the collaborative network DRAGoN (Deciphering Diversities: Renal Asian Genetics Network). Working with the National Precision Medicine in Singapore, she has also pioneered and led the Renal Alliance of PrecIsion Diagnosis (RAPIDS) which brings about the clinical implementation of renal genetics service in Singapore. This is a nationwide program which involves a multidisciplinary team of experts across 4 tertiary hospitals and 2 academic institutions. The program includes implementation of workflows, establishing technical capabilities and providing genetic education. The program now has more than 15 nephrologists who can now provide renal genetics service within a defined scope.
