Dr Ali Abu-Alfa is a tenured Professor of Medicine, and Chairperson of the Department of Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut (AUB). He is the immediate past Head of the of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at AUB. He is the Director for the Human Research Protection Program at AUB. He is also a Professor Adjunct at Yale University in the Section of Nephrology. He is the current chair for the International Society of Nephrology Renal Disaster Preparedness Working Group and representative of ISN on the ASN-ERA-ISN Kidney Support Initiative. He is also the Chair for the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis – Middle East Chapter (ISPD).
