ArpanaIyengar
Dr Arpana Iyengar is a clinician researcher and professor of pediatric nephrology at St John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore. Her work focuses on renal nutrition and chronic kidney disease. She is one among the few in low- and middle-income countries to have been awarded with a PhD in pediatric nephrology. She has conducted cohort studies and randomized trials, secured research grants, and served as an associate editor of the Indian Journal of Nephrology. She has led the ISN’s Clinical Research Program (2019-2023), chaired the ISN Mentorship Program (2019-2024), and convened the ISN’s Scientific Writing Course, training nephrologists globally in clinical pediatric nephrology, research and manuscript writing. She is also a member of the Saving Young Lives committee and the IPNA Clinician Scientist Academy.
