Better known as @arvindcanchi on Twitter, Dr Arvind Conjeevaram is a Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Physician in Bangalore with 30 years of experience in the field. He is particularly interested in the fields of Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), Acute Care Nephrology as well as Renal Transplantation. He has set up Dialysis and Transplant Units in most of the Hospitals that he works in. He is the Past President (Convenor) of the Nephrology Association of Karnataka (NAK). Through the NAK, he has set up a website for kidney patients with information on kidney disease and how to prevent it. He was the Organizing Secretary of the 1st Symposium of the Nephrology Association of Karnataka in 2009. He has been a speaker and / or a chairperson in several conferences, CMEs and meetings and continues to indulge in clinical research. Lately, he has taken to Twitter to converse with the world on Nephrology topics. He has set up a Nephrology case discussion forum called #ECNeph and has connected with Nephrologists in 18 countries all over the world. He has won the Nathan Hellman Social Media Award for the year 2018, an award given for the dissemination of Nephrology world-wide through social media. He has been a prominent member and Lead on the Social Media Committees of various conferences including the World Congress of Nephrology 2017 in Mexico, the AVATAR 2017 Conference in Goa and was the Team Leader for the Social Media Committee of ISNCON 2017 in New Delhi. As a member of the @ISNeducation team, he has contributed to Nephrology knowledge dispersion on Twitter and Facebook in the form of tweet chats, webinars and live streams of various events. He has been appointed as the Chair for International Society of Nephrology @ISNNeducation Social Media Team as well as a member of the ISN Education Working Group and has been successful in harnessing his Social Media skill-set in Melbourne where his team covered the World Congress of Nephrology in April 2019 on Facebook and Twitter. He is also a member of the ISN South Asia Regional Board and the ISN Education Working Group. He has recenlty co-founded a start-up Bloom Value Corporation together with Dr Arun Hampapur. Bloom Value Corporation is a technology startup focused on applying enterprise AI to hospital optimization. Their goal is to leverage data from hospital IT systems to reduce the costs of various services, improve revenue, and increase patient satisfaction. Hospitals are engaged in transformation projects and deliver rapid optimization outcomes using the FAST - Fast AI Solution Templates library.
