Prof. Ruth Rahamimov graduated from the Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. She was a resident in Internal Medicine in the Hadassah Medical Center and in Nephrology in the Sheba Medical center. Since 2010 she has been the Head of the Transplant Nephrology in Rabin Medical Center. She was the Secretary(2002-2017) and the president (2017-2021) of the Israeli Transplantation Society. She is also the Chairperson of the Transplant Section in the Israeli Nephrology Society since 2012. Her main research interests are in the transplant Nephrology field, and she has been publishing articles in leading journals in this field . Prof. Rahamimov was in the Israeli delegation for the Istanbul summit on Organ Trafficking and Transplant Tourism in Istanbul in 2008 and she is the Israeli National Focal Point on Travel for Transplantation in the EDQM of the Council of Europe.
