RashaDarwish
I am a trilingual consultant nephrologist at Kasr Alainy medical school, Cairo University with over 25 years’ experience in public and private practice. I have a strong passion for education and research, and am actively involved in various international nephrology forums at national and international levels. Through my AFRAN positions as the treasurer & PD chair committee, my major professional and community support interests became within the context of providing and improving adequacy of Kidney care and Replacement therapy in Egypt and Africa. I am hoping to bridge the gap between our African continent nephrologists and the renowned international nephrology institutions through my positions as an ISN Dialysis Working Group member representing Egypt/Africa, ISPD Nominating Committee member representing Middle East/Africa, and ERA strong Kidney Task Force member. In Egypt, I am actively involved in the rebirth of CAPD as a choice of dialysis modality as well as Cadaveric transplantation.
