Dr. Verónica Miguel is postdoc researcher in the immunobiology laboratory at the Spanish National Cardiovascular Research Centre. She has been dedicated to investigate the metabolic basis of renal fibrosis. In particular, she has studied the molecular alterations of fatty acid oxidation underlying chronic kidney disease. She also worked in the identification of new miRNAs involved in renal fibrosis directly related with the regulation of redox and metabolic pathways. She is currently ISN-KI Editorial Fellow.
