Dr. Munoz Mendoza received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He completed internal medicine residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, and fellowship in nephrology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. He is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of Miami, Katz Family Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. Dr Munoz Mendoza main research interests include the relationships between the non-neoplastic histopathological features and kidney function in patients undergoing nephrectomy and cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic kidney disease.
