Dr. Sahar H. Koubar is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota (UMN), USA. Before Joining UMN, she served as a Vandyke Medical Educator at the school of Medicine and the Nephrology Fellowship Program Director at the American University of Beirut (2018 to 2022). Dr. Koubar obtained her medical doctorate from Beirut Arab University in Lebanon. She did her Internal Medicine residency training at the American University of Beirut (Lebanon) and at Duke University (USA), and her nephrology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University (USA). Her clinical and research interests include glomerular diseases, pregnancy-related kidney diseases, conservative kidney management (CKM), monoclonal gammopathy of renal significance (MGRS), and conflict nephrology. She is a member of the ISN-CKM working group. She also serves as an instructor for the Glomerular Disease Study & Trial Consortium (GlomCon). She is the recipient of the GOLD Humanism award (2022) and the Connie Maske award for excellence in teaching (2022).
