The session will provide a discussion of novel therapeutic opportunities that are emerging from research on Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease and will include presentation of the Lillian Jean Kaplan Prize
Learning objectives:
Discuss new directions for gene therapy for ADPKD. Explore therapeutic options that are designed to target metabolic abnormalities. Review strategies for increasing the functional expression of mutant forms of polycystic kidney disease proteins. Discuss design and recruitment for clinical trials of novel therapies for ADPKD.
