Kyung DonYoo
With over ten years of experience in nephrology and translational research, I have dedicated my career to improving outcomes for end-stage kidney disease and chronic kidney disease patients. My educational background includes a Ph.D. in Medical Science from Seoul National University and degrees from Inje University School of Medicine. Currently an Associate Professor at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine, I also hold roles in key nephrology societies, including the Disaster Response Committee in the Korean Society of Nephrology, Korean Society of Geriatric Nephrology and the Korean Society of Home Hemodialysis. Recognizing Korea’s pressing need for sustainable dialysis solutions, especially in disaster scenarios, my goal is to pioneer the implementation of home hemodialysis. By establishing the Korean Society of Home Hemodialysis, I aim to foster research, education, and advocacy to ensure better care for vulnerable patients. Ultimately, I aspire to leverage AI technology to enhance disaster preparedness and response for kidney patients, setting a new standard for nephrology care.
