Dr. Damani is an associate professor of Palliative Medicine and Supportive Care at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She completed her postgraduate studies in Palliative Medicine from Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai, India. She has served as faculty of Palliative Medicine at Tata Memorial Centre for 7 years. Dr. Damani's roles involve clinics, supervising postgraduate research, organizing educational programs, and leading interdisciplinary initiatives in palliative care. She is clinical lead for Kidney Supportive Care at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. She has been instrumental in developing curricula and training modules for national and international programs. A passionate educator and researcher, Dr. Damani's interests include advance care planning, symptom management, kidney supportive care, supportive care in oncology, hospice and palliative care service delivery. Her significant contributions are showcased in numerous publications. She is committed to compassionate care, education and innovative research in palliative medicine in India and beyond.
