Martha is a professional nurse with specialization in Nephrological Nursing, Marketing Management and Business Administration, and with more than 30 years of experience in the care of patients with renal disease.
She is the President of the Colombian Association of Nephrological Nursing -ACOENE-, Member of the editorial committee of SEDEN’s journal Enfermería Nefrológica, Associate Professor of the Peritoneal Dialysis Diploma at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana from Medellin, Colombia; and member of Baxter’s educational PD University Faculty Program, endorsed by several universities in Latin America.
Martha has been co-author of some publications such as: Outcomes of a peritoneal dialysis program in remote communities within Colombia. PDI 2015; Early peritonitis in a large peritoneal dialysis provider system in Colombia. PDI 2017; Development of an instrument to assess self-management capacity of patients receiving peritoneal dialysis: CAPABLE. 202. And have participated as lecturer in national and international events of Nephrology Nursing.
Currently, she’s Manager of the Peritoneal Dialysis Program of DaVita Colombia.
