MohamedBen Hmida
Trained in Tunisia and Paris, he has developed expertise in kidney transplantation, clinical nephrology and pharmacology, and green dialysis. With over three decades of academic, clinical, and research experience, he contributed to multiple Phase I, II, and III clinical trials. He has contributed to international conferences, including the Italian Society of Nephrology'2023, KDIGO'2025 Controversies Conference on Green Dialysis, WCN'24, ERA'25. His research and practice focus on clinical, logistical, and environmental challenges of dialysis in water-stressed regions. He has worked extensively on implementing circular economy applications in nephrology, sustainable “green dialysis” strategies, RO upgrades, and spent dialysate recycling. He focuses on climate-resilient dialysis solutions, emphasizing resilience and stewardship in arid and semi-arid areas. He serves as a reviewer for The Lancet, Kidney International, JASN, AJKD... He has authored several book chapters and over one hundred articles in impact journals. His latest articles were published in Kidney International, Current Opinion, and CJASN.
