Dr. Bhatt is currently affiliated with the Division of Pediatric Nephrology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Bhopal. He played a crucial role in establishing pediatric nephrology services, reflecting his dedication to enhancing healthcare in the region. Actively involved in collaborative research, he has coordinated several ICMR-funded projects, including the Indian Registry for Renal Tubular Disorders, the DISHA study on ambulatory blood pressure normograms for Indian children, and research on early biomarkers of sickle cell disease.With over 104 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 12 book chapters, Dr. Bhatt's contributions to academic research are significant. He has received prestigious fellowships, including the Fellowship of the American Society of Nephrology (FASN), the Fellowship of the International Society of Nephrology (FISN), and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). Additionally, he was instrumental in launching the DM Pediatric Nephrology course at AIIMS, Bhopal, and regularly conducts training programs to enhance pediatricians' skills in pediatric nephrology. He is presently mentor in the IPNA clinician scientist academy and In-charge of Department of Health Research (DHR) Technical Resource Centre (TRC) for guidelines at AIIMS, Bhopal.
