Dr. Sukanya Govindan is a consultant pediatric nephrologist in Chennai, India. Sukanya works in a low-cost teaching hospital in Chennai and she is primarily involved in the care of children with advanced kidney disease from low socio-economic status. She is also a clinician researcher with research interests in low-cost renal replacement therapy and acute kidney injury therapeutics in children. She is the winner of multiple research grants including ISN Clinical research grant and Women in Transplant research grant and is the primary investigator for a multicentric RCT in neonatal acute kidney injury. She is also associate editor of BMJ Pediatrics Open Journal and is Morris Fellow in Global Public Health at UC Berkeley School of Public Health, University of California, Berkeley.
