Milagros Melissa Flores-Fonseca, MD, is a passionate nephron lover based in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a strong academic and clinical focus on glomerular diseases, interventional nephrology, and kidney health advocacy. She practices as a kidney transplant consultant, general nephrologist, and assistant professor, and holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences. Dr. Flores is a graduate of the GlomCon Glomerular Disease Fellowship and an ISN Interventional Nephrology Fellow Candidate (2026). She serves on the ISN Latin America Regional Board, the SLANH Young Committee, the Honduran Association of Nephrology and Transplantation Education Team, and the ISN Education Team. She is actively involved in global digital nephrology education through initiatives such as NephJC. Her academic interests include acute and chronic kidney disease, transplant-related complications, interventional nephrology, and innovative approaches to medical education.
