Dr. Mala Sachdeva is Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She is an academic nephrologist, and part of the full time faculty at the Division of Kidney Diseases and Hypertension in Great Neck, New York, Northwell Health System. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and then Nephrology Fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center, University Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Dr. Sachdeva is currently Medical Director for the Outpatient Home Dialysis Programs at North Shore University Hospital and LIJ Med Center and for the home dialysis program at the Northwell Health Stern Family Center for Rehabilitation. Her clinic focus includes home dialysis as well as Women’s Health in Kidney Disease, including expertise in Obstetric Nephrology. She is co-editor of a textbook titled: Obstetric and Gynecologic Nephrology: Women’s Health Issues in the Patient With Kidney Disease. She had been serving as a Councilor on the Executive Council for WIN since 2020 where she was leading WIN’s mentorship program as well as co-leading the Speaker’s Bureau. She was President Elect for WIN in 2024 and is now serving as President for Women In Nephrology for 2025 and 2026.
