Dr. Oleksa Rewa is an Associate Professor and the Director for Research & Innovation at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. He completed his medical school training at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario and followed that with his internal medicine training at Queen's. He then finished his critical care training at the University of Toronto before continuing to conduct his Master of Science's in Clinical Epidemiology and Critical Care Nephrology fellowship at the University of Alberta, where he focused on quality metrics in CRRT. He recently co-led ADQI XXXV, focused on, 'Implementing evidence-based practices in AKI and Acute Kidney Care,' in 2025 and remains a leader in quality improvement, quality assurance and the study of key performance indicators in acute dialysis in critically ill patients.
