I am a nephrologist, clinical researcher, and the founder of Renálida, an innovative renal care model established in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Working within a highly fragmented healthcare system, my mission focuses on bridging the gap between coverage and accessibility, which particularly affects our older adults and the elderly. Renálida coordinates private services with the state-run system (PAMI), promoting community strategies and group-based care models that empower patient self-management. The development of our technological capabilities, supported by the ISN-SRC, has been instrumental in our integration with primary care and in expanding a person-centered preventive approach.
