Takako Shimokawa Japan

Takako Shimokawa, DVM, PhD, DAiCVIM (Small Animal Internal Medicine), is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Okayama University of Science, Japan, and a clinician at the university’s Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Her expertise lies in veterinary nephrology and urology. Her clinical and research interests focus on kidney diseases in dogs and cats, particularly acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, ureteral obstruction, and renal replacement therapies including hemodialysis. Through clinical practice, research, and education, her work aims to improve the understanding and management of renal and urinary diseases in companion animals.
