The healthcare scenario faces complex challenges and undergoes changes in the governance of organizations. Patients in dialyisis are usually evolved with chronic kidney disease, what to drink, eat, ways of health care every hour, every day. They live with their disease every other day. This sector of dialysis delivery, due to the monthly nature of the treatment, sometimes cause depression and anxiety. It seems they are living a boring life. In view of this, there was an interest in developing a project to add quality, different things to do during their treatment. In a coubtry where our currency is always floating it is interesting to learn about some financial concepts and not only talk about disease.
Initially, a survey was conducted to identify which subjects patients would like to be addressed, outside the scope of diseases. Financial education was the most requested topic. In order to make this proposal viable, a partnership was established with the cooperative financial institution, UNICRED, through its social arm, the UNICRED RS Institute, which proposes financial education in an uncomplicated way and with accessible language. The project presents, through an online platform, three basic dimensions of financial education: "SELF-KNOWLEDGE", "DREAMS AND PLANNING", and "EXECUTION AND MONITORING". In addition, it includes in its content track two other classes with the theme "FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE" AND "ENTREPRENEURSHIP".
We sought to take advantage of the 4 hours of dialysis, performed three times a week during hemodialysis treatment, to provide patients with opportunities for learning and development. Classes began in July 2023, with 14 students, one family member each patient and dialysis employees. The operation was online, through the use of smart TVs distributed in each patient's box or by smartphone, offering the use time of digital classes according to the needs of each one.
It is possible to establish private partnerships (HED and UNICRED) aiming at the well-being of our patients, in an innovative way and bringing a certainly differentiated experience in our care and social axis. In addition, it is an initiative that engages and values not only supplementary health, but also involves public health as a whole. New groups were created after this successful experience. This abstract was presented in CONAHP (Congresso Nacional de Hospitais Privados) in Brazil. It Is possible to re-submit.
