In patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), the assessment of nutritional status (NS) is a fundamental component of the care process. Argentina has records of quality care indicators on hemodyalisis (HD), but they include few nutritional indicators.

Multicenter observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study carried out between 2021 and 2023 in Córdoba state, wich included 27 HD centers. Malnutrition Inflammation Score (MIS) was applied to determine malnutrition and dietary profile through the Mediterranean Diet Adherence Questionnaire.

Participated 1011 patients, aged 58 ± 16 years old, 59% male. About nutritional biochemical profile, blood glucose concentrations were 118 ± 53 mg/dL and cholesterol levels were 166 ± 438 mg/dL. 38% showed albumin concentrations below expectations in HD. The predominant anthropometric nutritional status was overweight/obesity (55%). When analyzing MIS results, more than 90% presented mild or moderate risk for malnutrition. Besides, 65% presented some degree of compromise in lean body mass. Abot dietary profile, more than 60% had low adherence to the Mediterranean pattern considered cardiorenoprotective, and the ultra-processed food intake (in particular sugar beverages, bakery and processed meats) was high in more tan 50% of participants.

The population under study in HD presents a clinical nutritional risk profile represented by overweight/obesity associated with inflammation indicators, while the healthy eating pattern showed medium-low adherence.
