Chronic Kidney Disease- Bone Mineral Disorder (CKD-BMD), is one of the medical challenge in dialysis patients. Phenotype of CKD-BMD of all the components is different according to different dialysis populations. Aim: To describe and to compare the phenotype of CKD-BMD, in a dialysis population of Mexico.
Cross-sectional study performed in 440 dialysis patients from the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Jalisco; CKD-BMD phenotype was using Parathyroid hormone (PTH), Vitamin D; Phosphorus and vascular calcification (Adragao´s score). Statistical analysis: comparisons were done using Kruskal-Wallis; Mann-Whitney U tests and c2, p ≤0.05 value was considered significant.
As higher was the age, patients had lower PTH and Vitamin D; as lower was the time on dialysis, patients had lower PTH and Vit D. Vascular calcification was present in older age and higher P concentration.
