Genetic Testing in CKD: Are We Ready for Precision Nephrology?

2 Apr 2027 14:00 15:30
Conference Hall 1

Advances in sequencing technologies have enabled comprehensive genetic testing in kidney diseases, demonstrating substantial clinical value. Genetic testing improves diagnosis, prognosis, treatment selection, transplant risk assessment, living donor selection, reproductive counseling, and cascade testing. However, access remains limited worldwide. This session will review the clinical utility of genetic testing in nephrology, debate broad versus indication-based testing, and discuss strategies for integrating genetic testing into routine clinical care.
