In 2025, the World Health Organisation formally recognised Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) as a global health priority, urging countries worldwide to integrate comprehensive kidney care into their national health policies. This announcement, supported by the International Society of Nephrology, highlights the need for collaborative action across the entire healthcare community in addressing this growing health challenge.
This session will illuminate the impactful initiatives in screening, diagnosis, and treatment of CKD that are making a difference across the globe. Our distinguished speakers will share invaluable insights from their work, focusing on the management of CKD in Africa and advancements in the quality of care for End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) in South America. Join us to explore how we can collectively advance kidney care for communities everywhere.
