Organized by: Vantive

Session Description:
This lunch symposium will highlight the importance of providing balanced information—including Peritoneal Dialysis as a key modality—to empower patients in choosing the therapy that best fits their life goals. Through patient insights and expert strategies, we will explore gaps in current practice and practical ways to make shared decision-making a reality.

Learning Objectives:
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Appreciate the patient perspective on shared decision-making (SDM) and its role in dialysis choice.
2. Understand the need for balanced information, including Peritoneal Dialysis, to support informed decisions.
3. Identify barriers that limit effective SDM and contribute to underuse of PD.
