Session Title: Every note matters: collective action to change the tune of IgA nephropathy
Organized by: Novartis Pharma AG
Session Description:
In this interactive session, world-leading experts will discuss the critical need for early action in immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN), as outlined in the 2025 Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guidelines. There will be a range of topics discussed, including the importance of diagnosing and treating IgAN early during disease progression, focusing on the actions nephrologists can take to ensure this is achieved. The session will also explain the science underlying both drivers of nephron loss in IgAN and why they should be targeted simultaneously to meet KDIGO’s updated treatment goals. The overall aim of this symposium is to inspire the audience to reimagine the outcomes of patients with IgAN.
Learning Objectives:
1. To summarize key updates to the 2025 KDIGO guidelines for IgAN
2. To educate on the critical need for early action in IgAN, including early biopsy and
early intervention
3. To showcase the importance of treating both drivers of nephron loss simultaneously
4. To inspire the audience to reimagine the outcomes of patients with IgAN
