Session Title: Hypertension Management Aimed at Achieving Target Blood Pressure: The Clinical Utility of Mineralocorticoid Receptor Antagonists
Organized by: Daiichi-Sankyo

Session Description:
In Japan, the rate of achieving target blood pressure levels remains suboptimal. With the development of numerous antihypertensive agents, treatment strategies that leverage the specific characteristics of each drug have become increasingly important. Among these, the significance of mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs) has been growing.
From the perspective of the heart–kidney connection, we propose treatment strategies aimed at achieving blood pressure targets, centered on MRAs such as esaxerenone (Minnebro).

Learning Objectives:
In this session the participants will learn to:
1. Deepen their understanding of the heart–kidney connection and how the interplay between these organs informs and shapes effective blood pressure management strategies.
2. They will also acquire practical knowledge of treatment approaches centered on mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists (MRAs), particularly esaxerenone, with the goal of achieving target blood pressure levels and improving clinical outcomes.
