Session Title: New horizons in C3G and primary IC-MPGN: navigating the future of patient care
Organized by: Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB

Session Description:

In this symposium, the expert panel will reflect on how understanding of complement 3 glomerulopathy (C3G) and primary immune complex-mediated membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN) has evolved and the current knowledge of complement 3 (C3) in driving the molecular mechanisms of these diseases. The panel will then present patient cases, focusing on why and how to achieve an early and accurate diagnosis. The symposium will close with a panel discussion that will allow attendees an opportunity to engage with the expert faculty, gaining additional insights into ongoing challenges, guidelines, future considerations and optimal patient care.

Learning Objectives:
• Reinforce understanding of C3G and primary IC-MPGN disease presentation and how C3 dysregulation is central in all patients
• Provide insight on the importance of an early and accurate diagnosis to ensure effective identification and management of all patients, regardless of disease severity
• Discuss ongoing challenges, current guidelines and future considerations for managing C3G and primary IC-MPGN
