Introduction:
Prevalence of CKD is 17.2 % in India. For ESKD HD is the most frequent RRT. Perceptions of MHD patients differs widely especially in under privileged. This study explores patient satisfaction, challenges, and perceptions regarding dialysis care in a charity-run centre.
Objective:
To explore patient perceptions, challenges, and satisfaction levels in a charity-run dialysis Centre.
Methods:
A descriptive study for the period 2018 - 2019 with 451 patients (M - 365, F - 86) and for the period 2020 - 2021 with 647 patients (M - 453, F - 194) with mean age -47±12 yrs with vintage of HD 4±2.
Method of data collections involved Patient Feedback Forms distributed after the dialysis sessions along with interpersonal discussion. The aim was to understand the perceptions, challenges and satisfaction levels. The cohort included those at or below the poverty level. Participants who agreed randomly (11 dialysis Units) were selected from regular dialysis patients at a charity-run Centre. The data was analyzed to identify common themes and areas for improvement.

Conclusions:
The study offers valuable insights into patient experiences at a charity-run dialysis centre, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement.
