Session Description: 
Vitamin D was once considered a panacea for a variety of ailments but now is considered by some to be unimportant. Despite multiple studies, the debate on the benefits of vitamin D supplementation continue, and the pendulum swings widely from one extreme to the other. But importantly, are our kidney patients different? Participate in a lively debate to hear what the experts have to say.
Learning Objectives:
Hear the pros and cons on monitoring vitamin D levels and supplementation in patients with CKD; and discuss the optimal therapeutic levels and treatment doses of vit D in CKD.
